ARCADE HALL 1980 — step into a neon-lit arcade at the turn of the eighties. Walk the aisle, watch the attract screens flicker, pick a cabinet and play. Six original arcade games under one glowing marquee: racing, shooting, bombing, breaking and digging — with more machines coming soon.
About Arcade Hall 1980
It's 1980 and the arcade is open. A pink and cyan marquee hums over the doorway, the carpet glows under a row of coloured pendant lights, and the whole room breathes that low electrical hum of machines waiting for a coin. You walk the floor yourself. The aisle runs the length of the hall between two banks of cabinets, arrows in the carpet pointing you up toward the headline machine standing on its own lit plinth. Along the way there are benches to sit on, speaker stacks, vending machines glowing behind their glass, a prize counter stacked with redemption shelves, potted plants and framed posters — the whole room, exactly as you remember it. Every cabinet is alive. Each one plays its own attract loop while it waits: a car chasing a sunset down a coast road, a digger burrowing through a cutaway of soil, a bomb ticking down in the middle of a maze, a squire hopping the lanes toward the castle gate. Stand in front of the one you want and the machine takes the whole screen — the real game, start to finish, exactly as it would have played in the hall. Step away when you're done and you're back on the carpet, right where you left off, free to pick another. And the hall keeps growing. New
