What we collect

GamesIDB has no accounts, no login and no comment form, so there is nothing here for you to hand us. We do not ask for your name or your email, and the site sets no cookie of its own.

Advertising

Pages carry Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies and use device identifiers to select and measure ads, including personalised ones. You can review and change that at Google Ad Settings, and read what Google collects in its partner-sites notice.

Images and outbound links

Cover art and screenshots load directly from Valve’s Steam CDN, so your browser contacts Valve when a page loads. Headlines on the wire link to the outlet that published them; once you follow one, that publisher’s own policy applies.

Server logs

Our web server records the usual request line — IP address, time, page, user agent — for security and troubleshooting, and those logs rotate. Cloudflare sits in front of the site and keeps its own aggregate traffic figures.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.
