About EMBERDEEP
The mountain caught you. It won't apologize. A child falls beneath Mount Aldercap, into the home of the exiled emberkin - small fire-spirits whose great Forge is going out. An old hearth-keeper entrusts you with her last ember: carry it down to the Deep Forge, and for one breath, the way home opens. Standing in the way: shy soot-sprites, anxious candles, a drowned wick, a water-drop lost from the sky, the last spark of a dead hearth, a captain in mourning, and a Forgemaster who stopped believing in doors. Every one of them can be talked down. None of them have to die. Key Features Turn-based battles where you dodge bullet patterns as a small red ember - FIGHT, ACT, ITEM, or MERCY Kindness is mechanical: comforting a spirit visibly thins its attacks, and a WARMTH gauge fills as you act kindly and dodge cleanly - spend it to KINDLE, and mercy comes easy (even bosses soften) Five regions to descend - the Cinderfall, the abandoned Hollows, the Gloamway, the flooded Sump, and the Deep Forge - hand-lit with dynamic lighting, optional detours, two shops, and a superboss behind a door only the rain remembers Nine spirit types, a mini-boss, two multi-phase bosses with route-dependent varian
