About Mudang

A rite worked with bell and blade. Open the ground at a ruined shrine house and white mourning robes come up over the mossy stones; the deeper the rite runs, the further out the worse things come from. The rite that will not end There is no final world. Time alone raises the vigor of the wraiths, and the time you last until you fall is your record. Five gods, one per rite Enshrine the Grand General, the Steward, the Mountain, the Dragon King and the Seven Stars with Merit. Only one of them enters your body in a single rite, so every rite begins with deciding whom to serve tonight. Flooded paddies, dry stone The ground takes no sides. Standing water halves the step of the Mudang and of the wraiths alike, and dry dust carries them both. Dragging a horde into the mire and leaving by the dry line is a call you make across all six worlds. From mourning robes to the Gate Thirty-six wraiths come at you in five kinds — the ones that swarm, the ones that cut ahead of you, the ones that throw from a distance, and the Gate that stands in the way.
