PLAY WITH WORDS. BUILD WITH RULES. Play the Wor!d is a deckbuilding roguelite where every run starts with a handful of letters. Combine randomly drawn letter tiles into words, then connect those words according to their parts of speech to complete sentences. But a sentence is more than just a sentence — it's your scoring engine. Choose your words carefully, take advantage of word and sentence patterns, and build combinations that turn a simple sentence into a massive score. BUILD WORDS FROM LETTERS Draw letter tiles and combine them into words. Your available letters change as you play, so make the most of what you have and find the right word for the situation. TURN WORDS INTO SENTENCES Every word has a grammatical role. Connect your words through their parts of speech and complete different sentence structures to push your score even higher. FIND THE RIGHT PATTERN The words you choose matter. Sentence structures, word patterns, and the characteristics of your vocabulary can trigger additional scoring opportunities. Discover combinations that work together and build your strategy around them. BEND THE RULES WITH EMOJI TILES Emoji tiles bring their own special rules into the game.
