Explosions are erupting, and red alarm logs are flooding the system one after another. I can hear the boots in the corridor. Screams echo through the facility’s concrete walls. They came for us. I think they’re going to bury us beneath this concrete — along with every unknown and every secret we carry. There is something repeatedly mentioned in the logs: TROYKA. A secret Soviet underground research and experimentation facility established after the Chernobyl disaster. It was believed to have completely collapsed after the great destruction and explosions. But this place is still standing. These concrete walls are still breathing — resting above thousands of graves beneath them. Is this operation in the autumn of 1991 an attempt to bury the collapsing Soviets’ hidden crimes deep within history? Or has the Cold War turned hot? Or is this the beginning of a new world war?
